My Story

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.”
— Steve Jobs

My path hasn’t been linear. I’ve gone from hacking small tools in college, to automating workflows in industry, to diving into medical AI in academia. Looking back, the thread running through it all is simple: a drive to work on problems that matter.

At the heart of it all is a drive to work on things that matter. Whether it was building small tools in college, working on automation and machine learning in the IT industry, or diving into medical AI during my PhD—I’ve followed a thread of curiosity, impact, and purpose. Leadership opportunities, from student government to the Dean’s office, taught me the value of listening and showing up for others. My postdoc at Harvard brought it all together—research, teaching, strategy, and collaboration—deepening my belief that meaningful technology work happens at the intersection of depth and direction.

Looking back and ahead, I see my path shaped by a few principles:

Build with purpose

I’ve always enjoyed building—but only when it solves something real. In college, it was home automation and connecting blood donors. Today, it’s AI for healthcare or tools that help people work better. The purpose is what makes the building worthwhile.

Own the messy parts

I care deeply about taking ideas beyond the whiteboard. That means helping find funding, shaping research proposals, or working through the inevitable hiccups in any project. The mess is where the real learning—and progress—often happens.

Stay endlessly curious

My path has been anything but linear—enterprise IT, student government, startups, medical AI, teaching, writing grants. I’ve never done things just to build a résumé. I do them because I’m curious and love solving new problems. Growth keeps me going.

Lead by showing up

For me, leadership has never been about titles. It’s about listening, caring, and doing the work. That’s how I found myself in leadership roles in student government, and it’s the same approach I take in any team or project I’m part of.

Solve problems that matter

I want my work to make someone’s day easier, their care more accurate, their system more efficient. I’m not drawn to shiny tech for its own sake—I’m drawn to real problems that affect real people.

Move with intention

I won’t pretend to have everything figured out. But I try to be thoughtful—about what I say yes to, who I work with, and the values behind it. Many of the best turns in my journey began with a leap of faith and a sense that it mattered.

So, what's next?

I’m not aiming for a perfect story—just a meaningful one. I want to keep working on things that feel real, grounded, and aligned with who I am. If any of this resonates—or if there's something we could build together—I’d love to connect.
